It's happened again, this time in the dry!!

Took the 899 out this afternoon as it was dry, got on some nice roads and had her in sport mode, no mode changes at all today. Used the QS a few times, get a nice popping from the Termi's using the QS......

After around 40-45 miles and on a straight stretch of road at around 60mph the engine management light came on, the gear indicator just showed -- and the same in the EBS box --, traction control and ABS stayed as they should, no N light showing either.

Last time it did this was when I got caught out in the rain, dry today so don't think it's a damp problem. Dealer closed till 6th Jan so will have to wait until then.......:(:(

Got the manual out today and got to the Error message via the setup, only one showing is "Gear" which on the table in the manual shows it as gear indicator sensor fault, so hopefully not a major problem that can be easily sorted by the dealer when they're back open.

Typical, rode it down to the dealers last Tuesday, no gear indicator or neutral light with fault light on. They plugged it in, turned it on and guess what! everything fine, gear indicator and neutral light on and showing no fault. They putting it down to the gear indicator switch and have ordered a new one........

I have heard - and seen - this issue on quite a few Ducs now.
Most recently was on a Diavel.

The new switch should fix the problem but I wonder why they are doing it in the first place.
