Besides making the bike sound even better, what other benefits can I expect with this upgrade? I’m picking my 899 up in a week :D and have already had the upgrade done…..will there be considerable performance benefits? Any increase in HP?

Slight increase in BHP i think its 3-5bhp and a 4kg weight saving.

Biggest benefit to the Termi slip-on upgrade is to get rid of the weight and heat from the catalytic converters, as well as getting rid of the emissions-strangling fuel mapping at lower RPM's. On the 899 it also gets rid of the exhaust servo motor dropping a little more weight as well. You can expect better throttle response down low below 5k rpm as well as a smoother midrange. Other benefit is it comes with full 2-year warranty from Ducati and the tuning upgrade has no implications for warranty coverage as some aftermarket tuning options do.

The Akrapovic system is extremely nice, best Ti welding of any brand on the market for sure. My shop is an Akrapovic dealer, and I've always been impressed by the quality of their stuff, but it does come at a steep price. The 1199 Superleggera is coming stock with an Akrapovic full titanium system on it, so hopefully that's going to lead to even more collaboration between Ducati and Akra in the future.

$3500 from MotoMummy....... Ducati parts from a store called MotoMummy?? That's just wrong! Should at least be called DesmoMummy or MotoMumcati! Ha ha! Ok, I can beat that, how does $3450 sound! Anyone on the forum that wants the deal, just PM me!

How much of the increase is due to re-mapping, rather than the slip-ons? I haven't heard a Termi equipped 899 yet, but the stock cans were pretty loud, and I really won't be happy with anything louder, so I guess what I'm asking is just doing a ecu flash a worthwhile mod?

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see more collaboration between Duc and Akra in the future. The Superleggera was just the beginning. Now that Audi is calling the shots, their racing partnership with Akra could play out more on the bike side of the house. Akra is their exhaust supplier for Le Mans, and we all know Audi loves to go racing.

Lol, I predicted the future. Ducati unveiled their new MotoGP team with the new livery at Audi's headquarters today. Akrapovic exhaust is on them. I wonder how Termi feels about that since they used to do the GP exhaust.

i just installed a 1199 full system termi with custom mapping... overall is much better than stock... will be going to dyno and create a new mapping soon.
where did you get the mapping done? I am also fitting the slips from my 1199 but I suspect the upmap from that kit will be no good, thanks Colin

Hi guys, new member here. First time ducati owner. I currently have 3 liter bikes (all kawi, and a 675 track bike) but ventured over to the red side. I currently have a 2014 899 with a cored exhaust and a filter. I have a set of BST with ceramic bearings to put on it as well. I know this is a twin and not a liter bike but im also trying to get the most out of it. Im curious of hp and tq gains of a cored exhaust vs a full termi or akra. Also curious what kind of gains (besides the 4 and 8k dips) i could see at the top with a rexxer flash (dealer is just 30 minutes away). I also hear good things about dropping to a 14t sprocket in the front. Like i said not trying to make it as fast as my liter bikes but trying to get the most out of it. Thanks and look foward to talking to yall!

Termi slips...

mini_bus posted this here.
The Torque numbers are a bit wonky though.

126.1 to 131.2 for a 4.0% increase in WHP

XCLR8TN dyno'd also.

118.6 to 125.1 for a 5.5% increase in WHP.

So some weight savings, a moderate bump in horsepower, looks bling sounds cool.
Doesn't really make noticeable improvements to torque.

Smoothens out low RPM over stock from my experience.

I have the Termi's too but not going to bother with a Dyno or tune because I'm happy with the feel. When I'm riding the bike I don't hear the pop even at red line. If I'm simply revving the bike at a stop and going to red line it'll pop -- quite normal. : )

Full Akra or Termi titanium systems make increases of 14+ WHP through searching on this forum and the other panigale forums. Could be worth the extra $1.5K
Started searching for numbers but got lazy.

Cored Exhaust
I haven't seen any before/after dyno runs of the cored exhaust .

You aren't going to see much of a difference with the stock headers and just switching out the exhaust for the Termignoni as the system already flows fairly well and removing the cats is the only significant accomplishment.

You will see a much more impressive increase with the full Akrapovic system and either the RapidBike or a flash / tune.

Regarding the torque curve above, I am pretty confident that those spikes are anomalies and you could draw dotted lines across each peak to remove them and it would be more realistic.

From the graph -- it appears low end RPM and high end RPM have more torque but midrange is left relatively untouched.

I think the RapidBikeEvo is one of the best mods at the present time. I wonder if its possible to get the freer flowing titanium termi pipes while I already have the slips.
