Does anyone know when Akro are bringing out there system?

And how are the termi's on the 899, because i dont think im going to get me bike in time!!
That's a good question, when I chatted to the guys at Protwin about putting on Termis on the new 899 he suggested I should consider Akro's, easier to tune on the dyno and generate better numbers across the range. I must admit that's the first pic I've seen of the Akro's and it does look tidy..

You guys are lucky in UK getting free termis. No such deal in Hong Kong. They did give me £900 store credit which i spent a load on accessories. A set of termis are soooooo expensive at the moment.....US$2,300! I was told the Akras are about US$3,000. Waiting for when the parts get more available and costs might go down.......also I got warned about putting non 'partner' parts on might invalidate my warranty!

Isn't expensive in general to ride or to drive in Hong Kong?

I heard of the insanity of prices for things over there So I can believe that parts are out of hand unless your loading up in serious cash. I hope it goes down in price for you too...

What did they say specifically about the non partner parts being installed? Which parts or anything in general, or...?

Bikes aren't too bad here...in comparison to cars (singapore is the worst at 100% registration tax with RTD (right to drive) licence being about US$50,000!)....there is 37% registration tax here so i paid HK$190,000.....US$25,000....they increased the price after i bought by US$1000 because they got it wrong!! There is no VAT or sales tax here.
If you buy a bike for the track, you do not have to register so you pay NO tax. So the Superleggera which is about US$104,000 on the road would be US$65,000 for track use only.
Swings and roundabouts, as we say.
Accessories are ok but any performance parts, as with any vehicle you buy worldwide, whether car or bike, if something goes wrong which they have not installed it will invalidate the warranty. I'm sure Akras will be ok if they fit them and do the remap etc.
Its not as restricted as I probably made out. They love their accessories here in HK.....shiny, shiny!
In other words they want me to buy my Termis from them!!
My bike was US$17,200 value with tax of US$6,000 on top. I can live with that!

I sent a question about slip-ons for the 899 to Akro factory in the end of last year and here is the answer.

Hello,

Thank you for your email and the interest.

Please be informed that slip-on exhaust for 899 Panigale is not in our project plan. We will probably present an evolution exhaust system for mentioned bike, it is even very likely that existing 1199 exhaust will fit.

Kindly follow our web page for updates and contact our importer in your country for possible further information:

Akrapovi?

Kind regards,
Uroš Mihelčič
