If I haven't been on the bike for a few days, when I try to start it in neutral it turns over but doesn't start for a few goes. The gear indicator also changes from N to 2 and then back to N again.

Yesterday (hadn't been used in 4 days) it wouldn't start at all in N so I put it in gear, held in the clutch and it started straight away.

I haven't checked the battery voltage and I don't hook it up to the trickle charger so I'm guessing it may be a low battery issue. I don't have any mods on there that uses the battery. First service is due next week.

Has anyone seen something like this?

Sounds like your gear position sensor needs to be reset, you'll have to take it in to your dealer.
