Hello members, I don't have the 899 but want to learn as much as I can about it.

I lurked for a while on the Streetfighter forum before buying one, so maybe I'll follow that trend again.

Thanks, the roads are full of snow here in Canada. But first opportunity I will test drive one.

Welcome to the forum,

Give the 899 a go... I was amazed how good it is and how comfortable compared to my 748. Either that or wait a while and stick an 899 motor in the SF if it will fit

Well not test ride till all the snow is melted

Your best bet is to wait for a bike show and the least you can do is sit on one to get a feel.
