Sat Nav/camera mount for Panigale

Watch this space guys if interested in a sat nav or camera Ram type mount for fitting on the yoke. I'm going to see a guy who makes them on Sunday morning, I've had them off him for several bikes and he reckons he's perfected one for the Panigale without having to remove of replace the the centre nut. If I get one I'll post some pics and a link to his website.

I would be SUPER interested in this, as we can use it to mount a lap timer also!

THREAD SUBSCRIBED!

I installed a ram mount on my stem and wired the USB charging. I'll take photos tomorrow.

I'm up for one at a sensible price. Portimao booked for end of May so it just has to be on film.
Here is my setup!

Picked up the mount today, great quality and 30 seconds to fit - seriously. I'll add some photo's, but basically, no need to replace the top nut, or even remove it. The guy makes these in his workshop, along with fittings for most bikes, even has custom ones where two devices can be fitted such as lap timers and a camera. The ball uses is a 1" Ram ball and he me chines the other parts.

The one for the panigale has a rubber lip which is pushed down hard so as it cops through the hole in the nut, it has an alu disk which sits on top and you just tighten it up so as the rubber lip that's now under the nut tightens up. It's designed to stay in place, but could be removed by unscrewing completely, the rubber section should then fall straight through.

Mine is on and will be staying in place, the looks don't detract from the looks of the bike and always handy to fit the sat nag or GoPro to for rides out.

I'll put a link to the web site where they can be ordered directly if anyone fancies one. Cost wise, they are £28.50 + £3.50 UK postage, or can be picked up from the Cheadle Heath area of Manchester. He would post international, but not sure of the price. May be worth combining with others to get a reduced postage for international if a few people want them.

Where did you buy this? Is this the Motoreva stem mount?

Did you get the dealer to install and do the wiring for you?

I have a Garmin Zumo 390 GPS and I really need to get this squared away as I do a lot of touring on my bike, and host group rides. I'm literately lost without a mount of some kind.

It is the Motoreva 1199 setup. I had the dealer set it up and used a usb charging set up straight from my battery. Turns out it is only 1 amp and does not maintain my battery, so I am replacing it with a 2 amp one and need to install that ASAP.

Seen the link. Can't see how this works with GoPro. Please enlighten me:eek:
After the Ram Mount fiasco I went for the stem nut solution. Wish I'd have known about this one, it's much easier.

You'll need a GoPro ram ball too, got mine from ebay and the Ram arms to connect the two, fits well, just tried it out on my track bike in the garage tonight (bought one for that bike too) and will be trying it out on a track day at Oulton Park on Saturday.

Sorted.
Bob called me. Nice guy. He stocks all the parts needed. I've ordered the kit. I'll post a photo of it when it's mounted. Sounds perfect. :cool

Nice one, he is a good guy, had a few mounts off him in the past. I'm quite lucky, don't live to far from him so can call round and see the mounts

Cheaper then the Motoreva, and easier install. Rubber mount will assist in reducing vibration I'm guessing.

I'm buying one (once this mythical bike actually becomes a reality)
I've just purchased the mount off bob. I sent him a email and he called me almost straight away. I've got a Polaroid had 100. Bob sent me the correct parts for the camera that fits the mount. Top man.
