hi all, i didn't notice this before i started cleaning my 899 but i saw that if i griped the rear shock cylinder i am able to wiggle it. do any of you have this issue to?
Wiggle as in you are able to rotate it a little bit?
If so, this is normal. The shock needs some degree of play so that it runs smoothly through the range of travel. If it was completely rigid the suspension would bind.
I noticed the exact same thing the other day, after having felt a 'wiggle' while riding on the highway. Apparently the play is normal, per both my dealer and Jarel.
