Has anyone fitted the new R&G radiator gards ive just got a set and was wondering if they are an epic to fit??
Depends on which kit you've got. If you've got old style then you have to take fairings off but those kits are being sold cheaper now. New style is same price as old used to be but take a fraction of the time to fit. IIRI

I wouldn't mind seeing the R&G radiator guard fitted on the 899 but wondering now if COX will come up with something for the 899 as well...

I just got an evotech lower guard delivered. I haven't actually fitted it yet but have put it in place to check the fitment.

Its spot on and all you have to remove are the two allen screws on the plastic head cover for the front cylinder.

There is a tab at the bottom that simply tucks in between the plastic panel in the v piece and the fairing at the bottom. It all lines up perfectly and looks like a 5 min job.

Pete :)

I've bought the r & g top and bottom radiator guard. I've fitted the bottom one which is relatively straightforward. However, the top one is a pain in the backside. I didn't read the instructions and was trying to squeeze / bend it into place but getting nowhere when I read that fairings had to be taken off and items of plastic around the guard so I've left it until I have a bit more time a patience to fit properly!

Nice bit of kit though and well worth the cost as I had a burst radiator from a stone in my 848 previously!

R&G's Fitted, Very simple These are the new set they just have tabs around the outside that go under the plastic and are held in that way, only have to take out 4 bolts and then put them back in with the rad gaurds on, was about a 10 minute job.
