That's why I always make an effort to look at both regular reviews and long-term reviews. Only riding it for only a few hours might not reap the best review but after weeks and months, there's A LOT to say.

I can't seem to edit my original post and forgot to talk about the quickshifter.
Riding around town I have found it a bit clunky ~4/5000rpms but after that it is silky smooth and especially when you are pushing quite hard and have the throttle pinned.
I think the QS on the BMW and Aprilia is sublime at low revs so it will just take some getting used to the Duc I imagine.

Looks like we both have good taste in bikes! I own a 2010 rsv4 and now the 2014 899 panigale! Live the v twin, and v4! The sound is sex itself!
