Does anyone know what the 899 noise test level would be for a track day? The 1199 had some too-loud issues that put me off. My 1198 gives about 101dB with the clutch pulled in, (it varies depending on the weather and the tester from 99dB to 103dB).
If I get an 899 would I be okay for track days?

Hi, thanks for that.
Most tracks in the UK have a 105dB noise limit, some a lot less. So 106dB puts me off because you'd get the bike to the circuit and be turned away. I think around 106 sounds (pun!) the same as what I've heard (pun!) about the 1199. The low exhausts bounce the noise off the ground or something.
It seems such a shame they're making a dream bike that you can't thrash legally.

Aren't there any other tracks where they are more lenient?

Not that I'm aware of, except Santa Pod but that's a bit straight!
Is there any way of quietening the exhausts down? eg after market baffles?
Would they reduce power by much?
