Hey all, im typically a lurker on forums like this...love the quick access to information from other 899 owners. I purchased a red 899 about a month ago and absolutely love it! I also have a red monster 796...I guess I am a believer in Ducati red 
I almost have 1000 miles on my 899 and have not had any major issues...my gas tank is actually getting replaced under warranty due to a paint defect present upon delivery (small bubble)...it happens, and hasn't impacted how much I enjoy the bike.
On a side note, I just picked up a Termi slip-on kit and plan to have that installed in the next week or two. Is it me, or are the filters included with the kit kinda crappy looking?!
