I'm looking forward at getting my first Ducati Panigale 899 and I want more information and experience so I decided to join the forum. I'm looking at a 2014 Ducati Panigale 899 at my local dealer and the bike looks good enough but I want to know what to look out for since it's my first bike. Any suggestions?

The engine sounds like it needs more work and that's my major concern. I was wondering if I should just go for a new engine or just fix the problem

Why do you say the engine needs more work? Details about what’s going on will help. Generally these bikes have been pretty reliable. But they do require a desmo service every 15,000 which includes a valve adjustment (a labor intensive job). Otherwise the other services that occur at 7500 and 22,500 are pretty simple.
