Finally i pulled the trigger and got my new 899 Panigale. I am coming from 2007 Yamaha R6 which I traded for this one. I also own a HD vrod muscle (totally different ride though).
Anyone from Charlotte, NC area?

Just one thing that I would ask the 899 owners - are you planning for a replacement seat? After 50 miles of riding my behind was numb

Welcome & Congrats.

I got used to the seat after a week, but it depends on how long your rides are IMO.

I'm sure there are aftermarket solutions if you want to change it. Look at the thread about the 899 being a 'Long Ranger'. I seem to recall some discussion about seat options in that thread.

Congrats on your purchase. I myself find the stock seat to be fine. I do long full day rides and never had an issue.

Ducati tank protector. I am glad I got this installed. My jacket zipper put scratches on it already.

Is that a new style? It has more cuts in it than one I bought a a few weeks back, which probably makes it contour better to the tank. How's it sticking? My clear Ducati one sucks the big one.

I guess so. I have seen pics by other members and theirs seem to a bit bigger. It sticks real nice. I bought it with the bike. paid $53 (worth).

The 899 is a big change from the Harley but you can choose a bike depending upon what kind of roads lay ahead.

Enjoy the bike and all that it has to offer.

I think you might get use to the seat after a while but you can look in to buying a gel and diy for better comfort.
