Absolutely normal, the technicians are required by Ducati to take the bike on a shakedown run to ensure all the systems are working properly as part of the pre-delivery inspection process. Also, the bikes come out of the crate from Italy with a mile or two on them from being ran on the dyno as they come off the assembly line. We usually end up with 3-6 miles I'd say, depending on how long of a ride we deemed necessary to make sure everything is working properly. I always tell people to look at that as a very GOOD thing that the technician who rides hundreds of the same bikes all the time, has taken your bike out and makes sure that yours is working the same way as all of the others that they've ridden, they will sometimes discover an issue that you would never discover because you don't have the experience to know exactly what the bike is supposed to sound and feel like.
