So, it may sound silly, but I know lots of people give their vehicles names (cars, motorcycles, boats, etc). I've had one for every one of mine and wanted to start a thread to see what others have named their 899!

My wife, after careful deliberation and intuitive thought came up with mine:

I'm always surprised by the engineering on my current bike. I'm relatively new to riding and I love this sport. After a long tour or a risky corner at speed that we make it through, I always seem to pat the fuel tank. I don't know why I do that. Maybe it's a 'thanks' moment.

I have never named an inanimate object like a car or bike, but over time machines develop idiosyncrasies that some would call personalities. Valentino Rossi seems to think this too but on a slightly crazy level.
