So like everyone in the uk, I took today by the scruff of the neck, and tried to put that 600 miles on the clock. 400 miles done !

But as my title may show, I had a slight boo boo!

So I need to pop my inhaler in the boot I didn't put the seat cowl on properly
it went for its own little ride.

The result cracked unit underside, and paint all scuffed up, gutted .

Does anyone know where I can by ducati paint ?

When I dropped my 848 I went to my local ducati dealer and was told by him ducati don't sell a touch-up or spray . They told me to go to a paint specialist that they use and the guys there will make an exact match.

Had the same issue last weekend too. My single seat cowl flew off when I accelerated hard.

Luckily enough I was able to retrieve, but I have a few scuffs also. I did think that the clip in mechanism was abit shoddy compared to my 848 and still feel I've got to give it a real thump just to get if secure.

Anyone else have the same?

As for paint, I agree with leeducati.

I purchased a second hand seat cowl for mine that had a small chip on it . I touched it up with my sons vauxhall corsa red touch up stick. Perfect match.

It looks like you guys are across the pond, but if you get desperate you can try https://www.colorrite.com. I've used them a number of times, and the matches have been spot on.

+1 on ColorRight. I've used them before and been pleased. They don't have the 2014 Ducatis showing on their site yet but do have the 2013 1199 colors.

RS Motorbike Paint Colours - Motorcycle paint, bike paint, Kawasaki Honda Yamaha

RS Paints… I used them with my orange monster sent away the seat cowel and they matched it. I was sent through some bottles to touch up bits myself.

Gutted for ya. I have to give mine a real thump to make sure it's fully home as have heard of this a few times now on the 899 and 1199.

Mine decided to take a ride yesterday flying along at 110mph on 134 in LA.. Needless to say I didn't try to retrieve it.. My local dealer gave me a modest 20% discount on the second one..

This happened to me to think it was my own fault. The lechler paint codes are in the handbook but I went to the lechler body shop and you can't get them so I bought another but did this to the damaged one
