I'm thinking of trading in my 2010 Hypermotard evo sp for a beautiful 899. Anyone in the same boat? I know a test ride will likely make the decision easier - just waiting on the weather to warm up before the dealer let's the demo bike hit the pavement here in BC. The hyper is fun but I'm doing a lot of hwy k's, and the hyper is not in its element. My first bike was a Tl1000r, and I miss how planted that thing was.

I'll get a test ride in and let you know what I think.

I traded in my '08 Hyper 1100S for an 899. Never looked back.

Just going off of specs of both on paper and what the reviews have to say of the hyper and 899, seems like going with the 899 you won't have any regrets

I moved over from a 2008 Hyper 1100s to a new 899. This 899 is my first full sport bike. I have had lots of different "Enduro" style supermoto bikes like the Hyper so I am very much comfortable with that riding position and really prefer it. The 899 is taking a little getting used to... but i am absolutly LOVING this bike. They are completely different and I appreciate both for what they are. Hard for me to compair the two since they are so different to me... but i am enjoying the change of pace... and that pace seems to be much faster on the 899!!
