I was 29 when I got my 848, now I'm 34, getting freakin old! Good thing I don't feel like it haha!

I remember watching Foggy as a kid on the 996 so I've always wanted a Ducati. The 996R is still my all time dream bike. Some day I hope to buy one of the street registered ones in as mint original condition as possible.

I started riding on scooters at 12 in the Caribbean and owned a CBR and a Katana as an early teen there. I was hit while at a stop by a car going 85mph (no gear in those countries), lucky to survive. I was 16. I started riding again at 29 when I got the 848 here in the US. First ride when the 848 was brand new, a ******* in a beat up Honda ran a red light while I was crossing the intersection and missed me by a couple inches, 200ft from my driveway!!! Gotta love the irony.

32 years old and my first Ducati after 15 years of riding Japanese bikes from 250cc, 600cc, 750cc and 1litres.

Easily the best bike i have ever owned. Ducati have done well with the 899. I've ridden a few Ducatis in my life (1098s, 749s, 1198 and 1199s) and this Panigale is the only Ducati that made me switch.

I'll be 42 years young in May and just put a deposit on Arctic white 899 ...my first Ducati ...I asked the same question almost a month back and didn't get a single answer, so I thought is inappropriate to ask such a question. In the mean time I did a test ride on the 899 and did everything to talk myself out of buying the 899 ...and couldn't resist :). So my advise is ...the best way to talked yourself of NOT buying one is not to get close to one more or less get on it ...'cause you'll be done if you do test ride one. By Done I mean you'll buy one . Doesn't matter what questions you ask and what the answers are going to be. The moment you test ride one - you bought one . You can try if you think I'm BS you bro. :)
