How Much Should I Sell My 2014 899 For?

Hello,

It's been a long time since I've visited this forum. I'm looking to sell my mint 2014 899 Panigale (with 3400 miles and almost all of the Ducati Performance accessories) and would love some feedback on what a reasonable price to list/sell for. I've been out of the motorcycle scene for a while so I don't really know what's a good source for used bike values are. KBB came back with $9.9k, but it doesn't factor in much (like mileage). I've seen some ads on OfferUp and/or Facebook with people looking for $13k or so.

I took a 4 year hiatus from riding after selling my 2004 600RR back in 2010 and 4 years later got back into riding with the 899, and I think it's time for my wife and I to finally "hang it up" and sell our motorcycles.

Thanks!

Do you have all the maintenance records? And is it a stock exhaust or Termi?

With your mileage, and assuming you have the records with a stock exhaust, I’d think around $12-12.5k. Termi will probably add $500 or so.

A local (Seattle) dealer is selling a 2017 959 for $11k with 13k miles. There are a handful of listings online for $13,000 but I’m guessing those are priced high. Especially when you can get a brand new V2 for $18k

I would start with 13k and then maybe come down to 12.5 or so. The suspension mods turn this bike into a serious track weapon, granted it’s complimentary toward the chassis. In one of the reviews of the new v2, the reviewer mentioned they can’t justify the spend, and recommend an 899 as they are very similar.

Edit: I thought I read ohlins shock, you upgraded the springs, with that info and your other mods, I’d recommend 12k.

I think it really depends on how quickly you want or need to sell it. If that's within a couple months, you may have to go with $12,000 or even less. It is 10 years old, the 959 and v2 did have some improvements, and most of the upgrades you added are only appreciated by some folks. If it was my bike and I wanted to sell it, I'd probably list it at $12,000 OBO.

GLWS! I could be completely wrong. Just giving my 2 cents in case it's helpful.
