Welcome to the forum.

The bike is much easier to ride around town than the 1199 and the suspension, power and ergos are nicer than on a stock R6.
The 899 has power down low so unlike the R6 you won't have to wring it's neck to get where you are going. The low down revs and torque will serve you well.

Read my street and track reviews on the homepage for more info to wet your tastebuds.

Good luck will everything :)

Welcome to the forum, you'll find loads of good stuff on here to help you make your mind up. The advise I'd give is get down to the dealers tomorrow and get one, best bike I've owned and I've owned quite a few over the years, it's a bike that's got everything you'll ever need, power, looks and the grin factor.

Get it, I have an 07 r6 track bike, and for the streets- go ducati!! More torque and has the same "ride on the front wheel" feeling too.

I'm still waiting on the bike , the dealer scratched the first one , now i send the exhaust pipe to ceramic coating so another two weeks before the bike is on my hands. I'm going crazy here lol. I put like 7k extra on the bike i can't wait how is going to come out.
