Hi all, just ordered my first Ducati after a string of other bikes from Suzuki, Yamaha and Triumph. Absolutely loved it on the test ride and thought it was by far the better road bike than the 1199 S which I rode straight after.

I've gone for white with loads of extras. Hopefully taking delivery end of this month/ early April. Just long enough to get it run in ready for summer.

Some great pics already on this forum, hopefully i'll be adding some in the coming months.

Thanks! Nice work on getting that out the way! I seem to run bikes in and then change them not long after but can see this being a keeper! Needs to be with the amount of bits on it anyway haha!

Thanks, it's pretty much coming with my wishlist fitted!

Ducati Performance (DP) carbon front mudguard
DP carbon conveyor covers
DP carbon ignition switch cover
DP carbon heel guards
DP carbon shock guard
DP carbon rear mudguard/ hugger
DP carbon chain guard
DP tail tidy
Ducati oversize tinted screen
Ducati transparent tank protector
Ducati radiator guard
Seat cowl
Akrapovic full exhaust.

Don't think I need anything else on it tbh! It should look and sound absolutely awesome.

Welcome I'm from south London so a ride out I feel is on the cards when I get mine delivered 😀. Nice extras list, if you don't kind me asking what's the grand total?
Thanks for the welcome. When is yours coming? I'm not allowed to discuss figures i'm afraid. Working for a dealer has its benefits though ;)

Mine is coming mid to late April. That's fair enough, I only wondered as I've got pretty much the same extras list except for the full exhaust I went for termi slip ons. Looking forward to seeing some photos when you get it
Hi guys, I'm also a London 899 er, the extras look sick, but some people are saying the clear tank protector might go yellow, something to do with the glue, just wanted to mention this :(

We're probably paying a similar amount at a guess. Are you going for the carbon covers on the Termis? My colleague was trying to push me towards them but i've personally never been a fan of their product. I've had Akrapović exhausts on most of my bikes and I figured why stray from what I know. I will definitely put some pics up, just hoping this nice weather we're having is around on collection day!

Any signs of discolouration or dirt getting underneath and it'll be coming straight off. I may change my mind yet and get a carbon one as I ordered the tank protector before I decided to add the carbon bits.
Hi guys, I have a 899 arriving sometime in May and am based around Orpington, Kent. I'll drop you all a line when I'm ready and maybe we can meet up?
Oh, white is faster then red ! Fact lol
I don't know about that

Light travels at a constant speed in a vaccum which is 3 x 10^8 m/s. So all colors are equal in a vaccum. But the refractive index of a medium is inversely proportional to the wavelength of a specific color. So in air the fastest color would be Red with a wavelength of 700 nm and the slowest color would be violet with a wavelength of 400 nm.
So to sum up, red IS faster than white :D
" So in air the fastest color would be Red with a wavelength of 700 nm "

we're not flying, well metaphorically we are, but actually we're not! and white is faster so there !

Technically the paint is in the air :p
lol, **** you're right ! ride like thunder, crash like lightning !!!!!
Alex

I didn't go for the carbon I like the original look. Good news though my dealer called me today and my bike is there. But won't be a week or so until I get it so they complete the upgrades. Gone off the Ohlins rear shock now as well
