Hello from Australia!

Good to be here! Just traded my beloved Street Triple R after 5 years and 70,000km for a 899 Pani in red.

Pick up Monday - to say I'm excited would be an understatement. Looking forward to trying a different style of bike to the naked triple. Getting some more track time is close to the top of the list, along with more CSS courses, termi's, rearsets, levers, fender......... You get the idea!!

Looking forward to getting to know a few of you!

Graham :)

Hi Graham,

I've had my 899 for a week and a half and love it. First service tmrow and then a mammoth ride into the country - it's 30 degrees + for the next week or so :)

Quite a different riding style from the Striple and definitely need to track this bike - it will be a weapon.

This weekend is going to be sooooooooooooooooo long for you :)

Thanks for the welcome - some familiar names there ;)

Trade in was $4k - the bike needed about $2k spending on it (due major service, tyres, front disks...) so although I could have got more for it by selling privately I decided to just suck it up for the ease of riding my triple in and riding out with the Pani.

Roll on Monday!

Cheers

Welcome!!!
Good to see another Sydney sider with a 899, i have had mine for 3 weeks now and just had the first service completed, unfortunately i have sliced my hand at work which has limited my ridding the last few day, but that happens just wanted to know how everyones brake fluid colour is looking like, mine is quite dark, i understand they will darken a little, but i am thinking of dropping and re filling very soon. as nothing was done at the service,
Happy ridding all!!!1
i actually have not seen another 899 on the road yet, cant wait until i do i will feel like a proud father!!!!!!!

Wow another Sydney 899 rider congrats!. Man if things keep going we going to see more 899 than Honda's everywhere in Sydney.

It's an awesome bike though. I've had mine since 20th December and can't stop riding it. My poor R1 '10 (30,000kms on it) is just sitting there waiting to be ridden but will most likely be sold soonish.

Cheers guys, had to wait till Wednesday to pick up in the end. But yes got it last night. Nice crawl home on the m4 in 34 degree heat :)

I think I got up to 3rd gear st one point :)

But straight away, just from pulling away from the dealer - I thought 'this was definitely the right decision'! Big weekend ride planned this weekend, already got the 1000km service booked in.

Whipped off the quite ridiculous rear fender hunk of plastic along with the pillion pegs.

New ASV levers on order plus evotech fender. Rearsets (quite how Ducati think it's ok to release a bike with such slippery pegs is beyond me) and Termi's to come....

Roll on Friday so I can give it a proper shake-down!

Hi guys,

I just got my red 899 two days ago from Fraser Sydney and I'm loving the ride man. It's been a huge upgrade for me after a long while waiting and thinking. Ninja 250R to 899! Still waiting for a few accessories that I ordered for the bike which are not here yet. Can't wait to make it look prettier :D Just as Adz said, haven't seen any other 899 on the road yet so still a rare gem.

Looking forward catching up with other Panigale riders.

My mate (Red 899) and myself are looking to do the Putty Road this Sunday weather permitting so if any of you Sydney riders are keen to join in let me know and we will organize a place to meet before hand.
