Just wanted to say hello to all 899 owners. Just ordered mine yesterday hopefully receive it mid march, can't wait. I'm contemplating adding the duc tail tidy to my list of extras. Does anyone have one of these already fitted, if so are you pleased with it?

Many thanks

Welcome to the forum. I've got the R&G tail tidy fitted and it looks fantastic, the Evotech possibly looks even better. I did look at the Ducati one fitted to an 1199 in the dealers and much prefer the others, there didn't appear to be much carbon on it and it's not much smaller than the stock, and price wise way more than either the R&G or Evotech. also the back plate for the plate is massive and doesn't seem to give much option for a smaller than standard air brake size plate unless you butcher it a little.

I'm from the uk in London. Thanks for the welcomes. Yeah it's does seem a little large compared to some of the others and I had an r&g tail tidy on a previous bike. I thought that fitting a on duc part would void warranty though?

Many thanks for the responses

So I got to finally test ride an 899 today. They didn't have one when I put my deposit down but called me earlier in the week to say they now had a rideable demo. Well all I can say is just wow, this thing is by far one of the most user friendly bikes I've ridden. I had a break for 2 years from riding a super sport (gsxr 600) and recently bought a cheap er5 to keep my no claims going so I could get a duc. I'm so amazed by just how stable the bike felt, even with me struggling to touch the floor lol. I was left speechless and just wanted more. Only downside is I've got to wait until April for my bike to be built but I guess it's something to look forward too Vehicle Motor vehicle Parking Public space Car

I like both but plan on getting white.

All hinges on if I can touch the floor, I'm a short girly! Have already looked into possible options to lower slightly if needed although I'd really rather not!

Really not sure what to do if it's a total no-go as in love with it already!

Well I had problems with seat height as I'm a short arse bloke lol. So I had the Ohlins fitted so I could adjust seat height. No problems anymore with getting a solid foot on the floor 😀 Auto part Yellow Vehicle Tire Automotive wheel system

I'm not too sure to be honest at the moment. When i pick the bike up sat I will have a fiddle about with the shock n let you know. I did hear that but also heard if you shave the 899 seat down that is also suppose to make a big difference
