Hello! :)

Just waiting for my brand new Panigale 899, coming end of this week/starting of next...can't wait! Rode one a couple of times and I absolutely loved it! Massive leap from my current monster 696...

Welcome aboard!

What did you ride before the 696?

Honestly it would be nice to be on a island with nice roads without the cold weather. I need it :(

Thanks!

Nothing, the 696 was my first bike :D. I used to ride every kind of scooter back in Italy where I'm originally from, but never had a motorbike before.

Agree...but not too hot...Ducatis don't like heat so much ;)

Do you have an 899?

@miss_fujiko

Pretty brave for you to start on a shy of 700cc bike. well at least you have some riding experience with scooters. i bet it was the lack of power that made you jump to a 696.

I don't like much heat either but somewhere without the winter season will be the best.

Unfortunately I haven't got one yet. It is coming along but I have a wedding on the way soon so that has me occupied at the moment. My fiance will have a connipshit if she finds out... :(

The monster is quite simple to ride...At the beginning I struggled a bit with the weight at low speed, given I'm a small lady...but I guess it all just a matter of time and training! I always been into bikes (Ducatis) to be honest, I probably just waited to be far enough from my family to get one ;)

Ah, I see! Well, it could be the perfect gift for yourself as a married man :D...

Yes practice makes perfect. I am glad all of us here have the same passion for riding and Ducatis. My all time favorite and dream biek has always been the 999R but it's just hard to find one in prestine condition. So now youre free from home and get to do whatever right.

I have to come up with the best excuse when it arrives. Hey! You are a female, what is an acceptable excuse or you could help me come up with one right...friend? :)

Ahahaha, give her what she wants, the best day of her life...and she will allow you to do what you want afterwards! It's like a toy, an expensive, fast toy..but hey, every guy needs one...isn't it?!! :D
Funny said by a woman; I don't think I will ever find myself in this kind of situation...men just don't 'operate' that way!

999R is AMAZING. But, I have to say, after being at the EICMA in Milan last month..the Superleggera! Top dream! :)

As for the Superleggera, how can any body say no.

You were there? how was the whole show?

Yes I was! The show was incredible, huge, too big to be seen in one day but I wasn't after everything..so I did Ducati first (obviously!) and then the other big ones (Honda, Yamaha, Triumph etc...)
A bit crowded as you'd expect, but overall an amazing experience. Wasn't impressed with the new Monster to be honest, but the Superleggera took my breath away. even the colours were out of the ordinary! :)
Did you know Ducati sells that bike only to a very niche bunch of people the company itself select?! Not that many people has that amount of money for a motorbike :D

World Ducati Week coming soon....you're going? Ducati - World Ducati Week - World Ducati Week

If only every one had enough money to get whatever bike they dream of. Mine would include the Panigale R and the 999R still ;)

That event is in Italy right? My summer is pretty booked up and the Mrs. probably would nto approve of it this year :( would have to rely on every body elses experience and photos to get a feel for it. Are you attendin Miss_fujiko?
