Picked up my shiny new 899 late this afternoon. It was the start of rush hour, the roads wet and nasty. So loaded her up in the back of the van and started our 3 hour drive home. Once I home the roads were dry and quiet, all though it was 2 only degrees I took her out for her maiden voyage. Only did 18 miles, but it was amazing! The bikes so intuitive. You only need to think where your going and you're there. Can't wait to get back out on her!

I'm happy you're liking it! I feel the same way about the steering. It's absolutely amazing. It's almost easier to handle than my CBR was. The 1198 seemed to require much more steering effort and was a bit tricky. The 899 is effortless. I am loving this!

Definitely a different ride to my street triple and a lot more flickable than my ancient old zx6r. That thing feels like it's been milled from cast iron compared to this.

Now the rear cover just needs to be in carbon fiber. Carbon fiber everything!
