Hello
I have wanted a Ducati since I can remember but the price was always too high for me or the bikes not available we're I lived before. Now that I can afford it, the beautiful 899 is on my scope. I currently have a Kawasaki Ninja 300 and before living in the US I had a Karpati (Russian little fun machine) and a CZ 250 (made by Jawa). Back to the 899, I really want it within the next month or so but due to the heat issue I will wait a bit because here in Florida temps can reach up to 100 +F; and I want to see what people think of it when the mercury rises. I drove almost 2 hours to the closest dealer to sit on one but couldn't test ride it. It felt a bit top heavy but ergos were fine. The dealer also sells BMW and even though they are not pretty bikes IMO the BMW S1000R felt a lot lighter at the top and more comfortable. I'm not very tall so either bike had me on my toes (I guess a lowering kit will be my first mod). Overall I love what I saw and will freeze my wallet on a nice cube so I don't reach out for it and buy the bike yet. See ya around
