For those that purchased the bike

If you were to do it again, would you choose the same color or do you wish you had gone the other route? Just curious. They are both great looking colors. I want to base my choice on peoples experiences with with their chosen color. If that makes any sense.
This is my first post so be gentle. :)

I'm happy with my choice of white. Lots of people said "How can you buy a Ducati not in red? It's like having a Ferrari not in red"
But the Arctic white is proving to be the most popular choice so far so it will likely to end up being rare to see one in red!
I will be either doing a custom paint job or decal kit to make it more individual from others out there.......or it will just be another matte white 899.
I have done all the same mods as others so far (i have done Evotech tail tidy, Evotech rad guards, Evotech bar ends, Evotech front sliders, DP brake levers, and DP rear sets) and will be adding carbon parts to try a get away from being just a 'standard' bike......but to add, it will always be a head turner even with no accessories!
Termigonis at dealer ready to install on first service.

White bike is really a nice choice. Do you think the white bike coating is a bit harder to keep clean and maintain? It seems like it it has some sort of Matte finish on the pictures.. I have yet to see the bikes in person.
Yes, it is a proper matte finish. It's not any harder to keep clean. The main issue is grease flicking up from the chain under the tail or lower fairing. I just use Ronson lighter fluid to clean off. I think too much is thought about it being a problem finish.....just don't leave bird sh*t sitting on it!....but that will be for any paint finish.
The red is still a lovely colour...it is all down to what you like personally. I got the first one in Hong Kong so it was a novelty....apparently about 16 been sold but still yet to see another one.
Okay thanks for the cleaning tip. It's a tough choice. They are both great looking. Ducati sure has style when it comes to bikes.

Yup, red all the way for me. If I did do white, I would go with black wheels for sure.

That's actually why I'm leaning towards the red. I prefer the black rims as well.
This is something I'm thinking of doing if I do go with red or white version.

if i were to do it again still go white. After seeing a few white ones with black wheels, i probably will buy a set of black ones or get the stocks powder coated.
I'd stay with white. I love the matte look, and red matte would be something I would strongly consider! I also may powder coat the rims black once I wear out this set of tires...
I put a deposit on white one . You have to see it in person before you decide. That mate finish is something I haven't seen before and it just awesome looking . If you like the classics you should go with red . You must see bought of them in person . My dealer ship has 3 red ones been on the floor for some times now . When I ordered the white one they told me I have to wait cause there was not one I the whole South East so I have to wait to be shipped from Italy
I wouldn't think twice about getting white again... Gloss Red is a fairly common color with just about everything a Matte white like the 899, is quite unique..
My first Duc had to be red.

Man this is tough jaja.. I'll be going to the dealer on Thursday.. They have both bikes available on the floor.
I went with white thinking it might hold up better in the sun, especially since there's no clear coat.

I'll be getting the wheels powder coated black at some stage. Quoted $1000 to get them painted by the dealer!
