Would you mind elaborating on this? How mechanically inclined is your friend? All I see is 5 hex bolts and would think it could be installed in about a minute.

Yep, it's easy. In addition to those visible hex bolts, installation requires removal and reinstallation of the baseplate beneath (another 4 bolts). It's a 10 minute job, if that.

Thanks for the reply. I'd love to get a new fuel cap as I think the stock one is fairly boring looking. I don't want to lose the hinge capability, however - it is an important convenience factor for me.
