I found the part #979000252 for the DDS 2 (Ducati Diagnosis System 2.0) It's currently listed under the Ducati 1199 OEM Parts Catalog. Just wondering if it works on our 899?
Update: I found out the price and it is $2,740.54 (The price is way too high)

The DDS system is not available for retail sale, it's only available to franchised Ducati dealers. It requires not just the software but a special security key to access, so just buying the system doesn't give you any sort of operational system. Ducati considers that system to be proprietary.

If you plan or reading and clearing CEL Tuneboy will do that and tune your bike. I just don't think they have maps for the 899 yet.

Technoresearch is an aftermarket version. They have a version for the Mitsubishi Ecu for the 1199 already and the 899 version is coming out soon. It's a fraction of the cost of an actual Ducati Diagnostics System and does the same if not more. (They've begun developing mobile device inter-connectivity for other models)

The ECUs are the same part#28642211C, so the interface is the same and one could assume that the system variables are also the same. Of course, the engine mapping and the functions that control the color display are likely different.

That shouldn't influence the software that connects to it too much, however it is possible that it requires some tweaking that they haven't been able to complete yet.
