For $14k this isn't too bad at all, it should help Ducati target younger people who can't afford to pay 1199 prices. Do you know if ABS is optional or standard?
ABS is standard on the 899. Its the new Bosch system as well, allows you to brake through the bend without inducing front wheel tuck or twist. The system also keeps the bike from lifting through the corner and taking you off line.

Bosch claims you can brake as hard as you want through the corner and the bike will come to a stop without changing lines. Point and shoot, just like a video game LOL

can it be turned on and off? as cool as it is to have it be so tamed like that lessening the chances of messing up it will have riders feeling more comfortable riding it, but some people might want a more true riding experience.
