Ubber nice :)...........please tell me about the Ducati engine cover. I asked at the local dealer and they said that the performance one would not fit the 899? where is your one from? is it bolted or stick on?

Bike looks great.

I'll have whatever he's drinking too. ;)

Beautiful design...is that a decal kit or some custom paint?
Also curious about which bar end turn signals those are. They're not the Oberon's, are they?

I would like to know this as well. They look good!
What fuel map control did you use with Akra?
Anyone have any ideas how this was done? I love the look/colour of the Superleggera and some may think it a bit naff, but I would love to do this to mine. Shiny fluoro red with matt white. Certainly get seen in traffic!

Seen decal kits on Ebay but don't think they would cut it.

Did he have a red bike to start or is it tank cover and fully replaced fairings etc etc?

I'm a bit dumb when it comes to this stuff!

Or better to wait for Superleggera to be released and get replacement fairings (probably won't fit - front fairing definitely not)

Maybe someone will do just 899 aftermarket kit in this design.

Just babbling now.....

Looks like it was just repainted. The Rosso GP paint (Same that the Ducati GP team uses) is a multi-layer paint with a base coat and then color over that. It's expensive paint, we painted a race bike with that color a few years ago.

Hi Jarelj
Was just reading in another forum about a guy from Bangkok wanted to do the same......some said why not, other slated him for wanting to have a 'fake' SL....that is not my goal (i know you're not judging, but others might)....i would still keep 899 on it....PROUD OF MY BIKE!
I remember when I was 18 and had a Golf (Rabbit in US) C and put GTI badges on it...when it soooo wasn't! And seeing people with AMG or M badges on their cars.
I would like to have an individual bike.

But anyway...enough of my insecurities!

I know a bit about spraying and that you pay for what you get......especially if there is several coats of colour and then many clear coat. A few cars here in HK in matte which look like they've been done with Dulux emulsion.

I got the Arctic white because I love it.

What do you think it would cost?.....idea quickly going out of my head!!
Yeah, I think it looks great! Nothing wrong with making your bike look the way that YOU want it to look! Heck, I painted the brake calipers red on my Porsche because that's how I WANTED it to look.
