Hello all,

I started riding in March this year and have since sold my car and ride almost everyday. I'm on a CBR 600RR, but it was love at first sight with the 899. My buddy Antihero has the 1199, but that's too much for me just yet. I always said I would get the next edition of the 848, so cheers to the 899!

Congrats! I just laid down a deposit this past weekend on an 899. My first Duc. I was tempted to go with an 1199 after getting OTD quotes (3K difference) but don't need that much HP. Can't wait till Nov/Dec delivery.

are you comparing the 899 OTD to 1199 base price? if so, i wouldn't even bother mentioning the 1199

I put my deposit down the first day after introduction. I'm going to pile the first 800 miles on as quickly as possible then put the track fairings on and other protective bits. I don't imagine the tires will last long and I'll switch over to slicks.

So far the plan is to ride it like crazy! It will be ready for it's first service after I ride it home, then I think I'll book a track day at T-Hill after the new year. Really see what this baby can do!
