hey guys has anyone here read or heard about a Dark model coming out later this year ? I love the look of the 848 Dark, and I think the 899 would just be sick as a Dark model and I would have to wait for it, thanks

My dealer said that since the 1199 just released the Dark stealth that it would most likely be at least another 2 years for it to trickle down to the 899.....so I bought the Red!

I think the next model year of the 899 will have a yellow one with black rims. This is the traditionell midrange superbike colour.

Just red and white for this year, we've already ordered all of our bikes through the 3rd quarter so definitely no black coming in 2014.

I'd guess 2016 model year for a "dark" edition just based on the 848 and it's color scheme release dates.

There was never a yellow 848 and there has been no yellow 1199 yet so I'm not sure there will be a yellow 899 either.

I guess its an acquired taste for the stealthy matte black the red wtill looks better but thats just me.

Thats more of a graphite in terms of color. I actually like this tone better than the matte black.
