Ciao Ducatista,

my name is Richie, I´m from Germany and bought a red 899 Panigale a few days ago. The bike is still at the dealers garage to get a short plate holder and Kellermann Rhombus indicators. Also I´m waiting for the seat cover.

I hope I´ll have the 899 under the christmas tree.

I´m really excited and can´t wait for the end of winter to get on the baby pan for the first ride ...

Nice! Planning any mods yet ?
For sure! ;)

The seat cowl is stil missing, black frame caps, black tank cap, smaller mirrors, Rexxer mapping or maybe a Dyno run ....
Nice mate... could you post a pic of the rear with those indicators on it. I have them on my harley and they are great. Was thinking of putting a set on the 899 when I remove the towing hitch plate bracket

Hi Pete,

here it is:

You don´t need resistors to get the normal blinking frequency. It´s also possible to adjust the distance between the indicators in 4 positions.

Thanks mate. They suit the lines of the tail piece great. Good that they don't need the resistors either. I've got a set on my street bob and they really have been good and reliable in all weathers.

Merry Xmas n happy new yr to you

@Pete: You´re welcome.
@Tio899: Thx and also congrats for the new Pan. The region were I live is perfect for having fun on a Motorcycle concerning the terrain and the roads. The weathers are as you know nearly half of a year horrible, so I can save my fuel money and buy same new parts in the meantime ...
OK, my winter holidays are over and tomorrow i´ve to go to work again.

I used my free time to do some more mods on the Pan.

short tail with new plate:

Rizoma rear sets:

V-Trec brake and clutch levers:

I also completely degreased the chain because I´m using dry lube for my motorcycles.

What to do next?

Now I searching for some short mirrors, but I´ll be happy with the originals for the first time.

I got a little problem installing a black TWM tank cap which I rode on my Monster 1100S. It normally should fit, but you have to use the inner ring of the original cap and that doesn´t match ...

And for sure the seat cowl is still missing.

Man! I'm digging the new levers....beautiful touch. I also caught my foot sliding off the shifter lever.

The 2014 saison started one week ago:

Today at my buddy Albert´s garage. His 999R Xerox in the back and his Racing 999R in the garage. Around 12°C and very dirty and salty roads, but a sunny day:

550 km on the clock now and one thing is for sure: Best motorcycle I´ve ever ridden so far.

By the looks of your plate you are in the K-town part of Germany, as us Americans would call Kaiserslautern. I just left Schweinfurt back in October. Nice ride BTW.

Thanks mate! But KS is not Kaiserslautern, it's Kassel (just in the middle of germany). ;)
Ah ok. I have been up around your way, driving through. Furthest north I have been on the Duc is Fulda area around Wasserkuppe. And of course rode to Sachsenring for last years MotoGP race.
