Hardly anyone has the 899 on there list. Most will insure it under an 848 Evo until they update their system with the 899.

I got mine through QBE. Full comp at $30,000 for $1,350.

I'm also with QBE - just under 1300 per annum.

None of the quotes I got online had the 899 listed. Had to ring each company, leave time to as they may have to ring the underwriters.

QBE - $750 full comp.

Are you guys above who are insuring your bike for $30k doing so because of the mods you are putting on?

Just rang QBE to get a quote

I'm 31, clean history, etc
Doing less then 5000km a year and in a lock up garage
And they want $1878

Not to be rude,
How old are you guys getting quotes so much cheaper?

QBE beat a quote I got through RACV for me.
30 y.o, rating 1 for life, lock up garage, 4001-8000 km. Could just come down to location, maybe more risk factors in your area.

Just guessing though.

Yeah its for all the additional mods that will be put on the bike (Akra's and bling).

BTW - I'm over 30 and do at least 10,000kms per year for those wondering. I know you can get it via Shannon's for about $640 or less.

I'm 40 and have destroyed a few bikes in my time.
Location (post code) plays a massive part in insurance companies determining risk factors and how the bike is kept at a premises.

RACV raped me when I got a quote from them - around $4.5k or something rude like that. I have since moved all of my cars, bikes etc to QBE.

Try calling QBE and speaking to someone as you can sometimes get a twit on the end of the phone who stuffs up and gives you the wrong quote - selects the wrong bike etc.

This right here is the MAIN determining factor to the cost of your insurance. Pretty much why its always the first question they ask as well. For example if you put your suburb in Northern Sydney just watch how much of a drop it will get compared to the western suburbs (where i am).

Just rang and got a quote from QBE which have been the cheapest so far:

I am the sole rider of the bike, 47, good insurance rating, locked garage, 10,00kms per year

they quoted me $955 with $4k worth of gear cover.

I also rang Swann insurance and they quoted me $2285:)

Insure My Ride doesnt have the 2014 Panigale 899 listed as yet, they are adding it to their database and i will check again in a few days

the 2014 848 EVO Corse Edition came out at $715 for me so i figure the 899 will be a similar price.

cheers

Man I must live in the worst part of west sydney
Just rang QBE again to double check the amount they gave me the first time
And the premium went up .
Now they want $1970 with $4000 worth of rider cover

I got to see what Frassers can do for me

when i was in Frasers last weekend in Concord they told me they use QBE as their sole insurer, when i mentioned the quote/price i got from QBE they were quick to mention althought they are QBE agents they would be unable to beat the quote:)

cheers
