G'day everyone,

I'm Mick and I'm an Aussie that lives in Dallas Texas and works in the Congo.

Always been a bike and car nut and looking forward to getting back on a bike.
The last bike I had in Aus before I left was an 06 ZX636 Ninja.
I have been doing a bit of "desktop" research from the Congo and was looking at the MV Agusta F3 800 and then I came across the 899 Pani.
After a bit of an internal debate I've decided on the 899, I love the look of the MV's always have but they are apparently just not quite there yet when compared to the Ducati.

So I've placed my deposit, now just counting down the days to get back to the USA so I can see one in the flesh.

I think my biggest decision with the warmer months approaching is going to be what to take out for a spin, the Ducati or the 70 Chevelle. :D

Anyway, looking forward to sharing my thoughts when I pick up the bike.
If there are any Dallas locals that can fill me in on some good spots to ride, I'd love to hear about it.

Cheers Mick

Back in the states yet? I'm in Dallas (Garland) and have been thinking about hitting up the Thursday Bike Night at High Five Cycles to get some input on good places to ride.

I hear there are a couple other Ducatis that show up, but it would be awesome to have another 899 rider in the crowd with me. 👍👍

Ok here are a few pictures of Ruby. Got the Termi's on, Puig Dark Smoke screen and the GCC carbon tank protector. The carbon front hugger and exhaust shield are there waiting to be installed when the rear hugger arrives. (They sent me the 1199).

I would be keen for a catch up when I'm back in town. I'm back at work in the Congo at the moment that's why she's sitting in the lounge room plugged into the battery tender while I'm away. I'll be back around June 10th for a few weeks.
