Hi,
After finding this post via google I thought I had to join just to say PLEASE DON'T buy them in UK or EU and get screwed over for £2100, When U Can, like myself order the Complete Akro System For £2100($3550) delivered from motomummy in the US.
I have my system on order from them, due in stock next few days and then est 1 week delivery dep on how SLOW Customs are to release it this end.

Goodluck with which ever path/option you choose. :)

From a friendly 1199 abs model owner. :)

It will be interesting to see how much you get screwed at customs.

Tbh, after hearing my full Akro system, it's worth every penny. I'm still running in but it definitely feels smoother than the demo bike.
Dealer is a great guy and happy to put very low value and insure for low value, shouldnt be that much(fingers/toes crossed) AS LONG He remembers to put the new "CORRECTED" Value on the forms.

I think/hope I am right in thinking that god forbid it goes missing My CreditCard ins will cover the full original cost ??

EDIT-(Long) Side note,
Took my around 3h to remove the Standard system, just leaving the front and rear headers stubby pipes on the engine.
512Mi old bike and the rear 3 bolts were rusted, 2 came out ok but the 3rd hidden up inbetween the silencers rounded off as soon as I put my 5mm allen key near/in it, so was left with having to leave the cans attached to the lower section of pipework and trying to remove them.
NOW,
I Still can't believe that I had to remove the 2 lower subframe bolts and arch it up just to remove the huge heat shield(As shown in workshop manual). Nevermind having to disconnect the rear lambda, which involves cutting 1 cable tie and unmounting the ECU from its plastic housing just to get to said lambda main loom plug.
After an hour or so of trying to remove the cans and rear lower pipework I realised that the cans could and would not go far enough back to separate it from the long rh sidepipe, due to the cans hitting the rear tyre.

15min break and an apple and cup of tea (Typical English man)

SO,
Lets try removing the front stubby header pipe and long sidepipe. Another 30 or so minutes of trying to remove the front stubby pipes 3 bolts, gave up as without elastic bendy hands and wrists I assumed it would involve removing the rad and fan+housing to get the room for a socket.
So,
That was left on and removed spring from long side pipe and with a few light taps it popped right out.

THE END. ;)

I thought Motomummy were dead against it doing that when I've asked in the past. I got a discount on mine anyway being staff :)

Sounds painful, did you not download the instructions from the Akrapovic website? It makes a bigger difference on the 1199 power wise.

I insisted I would only buy if they put $400 value down on forms and Corey PROMISED Me they would, just told me to add note to the order form when Purchasing the system.

If he doesn't do it, I will be screwed because I haven't got the extra expected 30% of vat and import duty costs of $3550 original price.($1056)

If he does put it down for $400+$100 shipping as asked and promised twice, I can expect max fees of $150.

Would you mind providing an update when you receive it please? I'd be interested to see what the outcome is as considering it myself...

Thanks :)

Happy to when Arrives.

Emailed Corey 2 days ago for quick instock date, he said supplier they expect to ship 18-19th april, should take 2-3days to get to there shop, then shipping to me eta 7 days.
So,
Hopefully will be with me 29th april??

Now I have 4-5 weeks to find the money to pay for it because CreditCard will come calling for the money and I ain't got it rightnow :(

Anyone wanna buy my 2005 Ex Rizla John Reynolds BSB Bike?

I assume, Hope paying with creditcard comes with it own insurance cover on purchases will cover it?
Loss or Damage.
Yeah, you could dispute the charge on your card and they would charge it back to the merchant. The merchant presumedly would get $400 back from the shipping company on an insurance claim, and would eat the other $3100?

I assumed the creditcard company would have there own ins cover protection and wont take from the merchant. Thought that part the reason they charge such High Interest rates so as to negate some of the loss claims.

I WISH that was true, but it's not, if the merchant cannot provide evidence of confirmed delivery to the billing address on the credit card, the credit card company will take the money back from the merchant to issue the refund to the cardholder.
