I have the full Akra on my bike right now. To answer your questions;

1. No there is no fuel map control or UP-Map or anything available (Tuneboy are currently working on something but its not ready yet).
2. The only thing that will happen is you wont get the full potential of the system if you dont map the bike.

My bike is booked in for next week to have the ECU flashed, a custom map built for the bike and tuned on a dyno. So in a weeks time i can let you know more.

I didn't fit them myself as its a royal pain in the butt to fit them. The Akra's are not hard to get on its getting the stock system off that is a real pain.

Also the heat factor under the seat has increased 1.5-2 times over the normal system. It is ALOT hotter now.

Here is a photo for you. Hopefully if the rain stays away this weekend then i'll get a video of the sound for you. Its amazing thats all i can say. Definitely worth the money i paid for it.

Don't think the ceramic coating did anything. I think its due to the shape of the heat guard under the seat. I'll get another picture of it but what i can see is there is less shielding going on next to the headers unlike the stock heat guard.

I saw a brand new 1199 the other week with about 600kms on it and his rear hugger had bubbled up badly....i know this was a common fault.

Has it affected yours?

I hope you've had your children already as yours are gonna get cooked! :D
