Aero Fairing Extensions...

Hey... any of you try the Panigale Aero Fairing Extensions? They came as an add on with the 1199 to help create less wind resistance and I've heard they fit the 899 as well. I get some pretty serious arm and hand wind blast behind the narrow fairing as it is, and think these might help.

Thanks.

they look great for a simple snap on piece. How much do they go for? How sure are you they will fit??

They're $80 a piece MSRP... but I've seen them for less on ebay as a set... most with the 1199 don't want them, so they sell 'em off. Only hitch is you need to drill two small holes in the fairing... so it's sort of a permanent deal.

I went into my local dealer to check a set out and see how they'd mount up... fits just the same on an 899 as it does on an 1199.

Personally I really like them. I'd say go for it especially if you feel there is a functional need. You have Arctic or Red? I'm just imagining now if you had arctic how sex it would look with red aero kit contrasting the white fairing and matching the red wheels ;)
@Brainfry you end up pulling the trigger?
I'm still debating... I'd really like to test out a set first... But word from my bud at Ducati is that they DO make a difference- at least on the 1199... but nothing earth shattering. I could use some extra wind protection, that's for sure. That or a narrower torso. :D

where can i get one of this, white or carbon? let me know if you guys knew anybody wanna sell. thanks in advance.
I have a set of these from my 1199 in red if anybody is interested, they have never been out of the bubble wrap..... I believe they don't require drilling they actually fit between the fairing pieces or so I read???

I'll take em. PM me a price. Thanks.
Anyone ever put these on an 899 after all and have pics? I'm curious the color match on the red since the 899 has no clear and the 1199 does. Since the 1299 has a wider nose fairing it's got me thinking....

Yep. Fit, color and appearance= badass. It might even deflect a bit more air than stock. Didn't need to bolt or adhere them with anything either. No holes drilled. They're in their tightly.

I'd certainly get a set. you're hands are completely unprotected from the air travel...the bars on the pani's are set very far apart, or the fairings are just very narrow
At $149, I was close to picking up a set. However, I went to Slingshot Racing's website and saw this note:

Special Note: Installation of this product will scuff the paint.
Once this product is installed no scuff mark will be seen.

I am not sure that I want to damage my paint in the event that I want to remove them.

i'd like to see an installation video to understand how they can scratch 100% of the time...why whouldn't someone put some tape or something over the right area to prevent this...?

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I PM'd you the other day. You did not respond. So I am going to warn the community about you and your evil ways.

Community:

Be warned when dealing with this member and any oourchase he might offer. I purchased a "NEW" tank bag for the 899 from this individual. He stated in this thread that it is new and undamaged. I purchased for $225.00. Not a great deal but a bit less than retail. I love once I figured out hot it properly mounted to the motorcycle. I did not notice the modifications the member made to the tank bag nor did he disclose the mods in his representation of the item he sold. So, what mods did he make to the tank bag you might ask. Well he damaged to webbing by drilling holes out side of the gromits damaging the mounting points of the takn bag. All three have intentionally been damaged in his attempts to "make it tighter".

Material property Tarpaulin Metal

Pattern Textile Denim Jeans Button

Webbing Beige Linen Tarpaulin Mesh

I have asked him for a refund and he has chosen to ignore my request. So, I am posting this here and where evere he posts so the community knows not to purchase from him and to encourage him to return my funds for selling damaged parts.

Come on Brainfry, don't be a dick! give me back my money.

OMG those are sexy as **** - My only concern about ordering CF parts is the consistency of weave/look across different companies. I wish one company would make every piece that I want then I'd be set.

But yeah, these in a matte finish would look amazing on my silk white - I'm extremely tempted....
Does anyone know where I can get non carbon aero faring? Not sure about the carbon, thinking I would prefer red.

I would try posting on the 1199 forum... I expect there are plenty of owners that received one with their bike that have not installed it and wouldn't mind the cash.
