Adjustable Rearsets For Dummies!

Gents,

I am 6'1, 195 lbs and am addicted to my 899. I have about 700 miles so far and my only problem is that I am constantly searching for the perfect riding position.

By perfect, I am referring to the idea of being able to have the balls of my feet on the pegs while at the same time my knees/inner thighs dug into the tank. As of now, I can't have both, one or the other

When mentioning this to a friend, he suggested adjustable rear sets. Considering this is my first superbike and I have never purchased rearsets, I was hoping those with experience and knowledge on the subject could chime in. Not only for the sake of my riding position dilemma, but others who may be experiencing the same issue.

So..In terms of adjustability, what can I expect from a set of adjustable rear sets? how much adjust can I expect? In addition, considering my problem, does anyone have a recommendation as to a particular set that might be good for me.

Thanks guys and I greatly appreciate any feedback offered.

Cheers

I did the Ducati Performance sets and couldn't be more pleased. Great grip, ability to flip to GP shifting and very adjustable, both height and reach. Oh - and they look amazing. On the downside they are pricey ($1200ish) and can be complex to adjust if you have no experience with rearsets - I had them done at the shop. They had me sit on the bike in my boots and got them just right. Night and day difference to the stock ones.

The Rizoma ones look nice, but I have no experience with them.
Gilles do two types. The more expensive are so nice. Fitted to my Superduke. One screw to adjust. Classy engineering. Not sure if they are available for Panigale yet.
