Anyone ever do this?
my 899's exhaust silencer, aka the cans are kind of beatup and quite dirty. I was looking around and saw I could get some pretty new 959 cans for a really good price to replace mine. Theyre also black which i think look much nicer than the muck attracting silver on the 899. I looked up the scematics and I feel like the pipes might fit on perfectly if I was somehow able to replace the down pipe thats connected directly to the cans. This is due to the gasket looking different, dont think there's any other difference. What are your thoughts?

If the adapter cannot be used on the stock 959 exhaust, then I am sorry to have lead you to believe that you might be able to use it. I was hoping that you would have a simple solution to what should not be a very complicated dilemma.

I know that you can replace the full systems, headers and all, but that would be a significant effort for only such a small gain. You are better off just installing a catless exhaust.

I suppose that going with the Termignoni 899 DP kit, with the race exhaust and upmap, is not of any interest to you?

Oh, it's of great interest to me. Just much more than i can spend at the moment haha
