899 Termi decal size?

4236 Views 15 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  T-wizzle
Can anyone with the Termignoni exhaust please measure and tell me the approx size of the termi decal on the exhaust? 2.5"x2.5", 3.75"x3.75", 4.5"x4.5"?

I came up on some stock 899 take-offs that I'm going to open and play around with modifying them and possibly putting them on my bike and I want to buy the Termi decals online for them just for the looks.

Thanks!

Alex

Curious how this is going to sound. You take the cat and stuff all out?

I plan on it yes! I also want to be sure it is chambered correctly tho so it doesn't have a terrible sound, I'm not going for just loud, I want depth.

I'm sure it will take me months to get it just how I want but I'll be posting pics and a video when done.

I played around with this on some used 848 cans before so it's not my first.
Check out eBay, I saw some Termi decals on there a couple of weeks back

Thanks but I didn't see any that mention being specifically for the 899/1199 and I'd rather get the correct foil backed genuine Termi stickers from MotoWheels. I just need to know which size is correct for the 899/1199 Termi exhaust so it looks right.
Give me a few minutes and I'll see if I can find my tape measure an nip in the garage

AWESOME! Many thanks!

Why put stickers on something it's not? Anyone who knows anything about bikes will know you're being a fraud, those who know nothing about bikes will not know what on earth the decal means. So why bother? Do yourself a favour and do the work but leave the decals off.

I stated I wanted them for the *looks*, I'm not trying to perpetrate a fraud and sell them as something they are not lol. It's a matter of personal taste.

I could ask why people put Ducati Corse decals and stuff on non R models, to each their own.

Size wise 3" at widest point and 3" at deepest. Hope that helps

Sorry I didn't mean you were trying to actually commit fraud by selling them as Termi's! What I mean is, to me, it looks very try hard. As you say, like people who put corse stuff on. Or standard bmw's with 'M' badges. Just shouts 'wanker' to me - I don't mean that personally btw!

Each to their own.
Pfff. pointless discussion. If i put a corse seat on....is it okay to put a corse decal on a bike? Or a corse windsheeld or other stuff like that?
Like i sayed in another topic, corse had a lot to do with at least the Ducati race bikes.

Let people decal their bike like they want to. People who have the biggest problems with stuff like that should get a life and wind themselfs up over important stuff :D

You like a decal for the decal? Put it on there.
Wanna make something look better or more expensive by a decal? Grow up :D but i couldnt care less......

It's all good and I used to be in your boat when I was younger. I would never put them on stock cans but I figured if I''m hacking some up, then why not since I love the look lol.

I've even thought about anodizing them a dark charcoal or black before putting the decals on. I think that would sick with a red 899 that has all the black plastic already, but I think the Termi decal would look terrible. So who knows, I might anodize them and not even use the decals..... but if I want to I will :D

Good luck on the modification, I was planning on doing the same but just for shits and jiggles! To me it's gonna be tough considering the enter and exits is on the same side. Keep us posted!
