Thought I'd start a post for tank protector thoughts. I just got the 1199 carbon one and it fits perfect and looks great (at least in my opinion). I was debating between this or doing the 3m clear wrap. I decided to go with the 1199/899 carbon tank protector. Hopefully pics help you decide -

I put the same one on mine. I like it. I thought about waiting for the new style one, but it looked like it would be easier to peel off.

Going for the Venture shield protection, no need for a separate tank protector and keeps to the original ones of the bike. Saw an 1199 at my dealers that had it fitted, hardly noticeable and protects the bike from stone chips, tank or tail scuffs, withe the price.

Dealers told me around £199 for the full bike kit fitted, not cheap, but worth the protection, had a stone chip on my blades nose within c couple of weeks!

IMO i consider it an investment, not cost, anything that does that for a bike is worth it.

Was told around £199, not had that confirmed yet, so may well end up more!

I can remember what they quoted, but all that matters is it keeps the bike looking good. I also had the tail tidy fitted...It looks mint!

Which tail tidy did you go for? Not ordered one with mine yet, ordered the seat pod, Ducati case cover and R&G spring cover so far. Also Biketrac tracker system being fitted..... Still keeping fingers crossed for Saturday....
