I can't give you an opinion just yet. But I pick mine up next week & getting rid of my car so it will be my everyday drive. I will post up my experience etc as soon as I have any lol

Sold my car three weeks ago. I work from home, so I don't use it everyday, but I do use it most days. Only problem I had was the hard start issue, but I haven't had it since I removed the charcoal canister.

I do. It goes to work, around town, back roads on the weekends. It's great.

I ride mine everyday, its my only form of transport (apart from my neglected R1). Makes a great everyday bike which is strange for a Ducati.

I've had mine for 2 months on 3/18 and I have 2,100 miles on it, so YES!

I commute to work on mine. It's a great way to start (and end) the day. My mileage is about the same as 92GTA's (hit 2222 last weekend), even with 40 days at the shop in the 3.5 months I've had it (granted the new motor only has 150 on it).
Haha sounds fun guys!

Cant wait to get on a bike..just need to decide..

btw, is it just me? or everyone having problems posting? multiposting not working right..
I commute to work sometimes and I ride almost everywhere with it. Comfy and everything is silky smooth considering you're running a V-twin engine. Only gripe is the heat..that needs getting used to but its not unbearable. Once you're past that..all is good!
Any solution fixing the heat issue?

I know bikes put out heat.. the 899 must put out some serious heat..since everyone says that...

I've just hit the 1000mile marker and yes it's a little warm, but it's definitely not uncomfortable. Maybe if you live somewhere that gets into the mid-thirties in summer you might have an issue. Specially riding around town, but once you get some speed up and the winds moving you wouldn't notice it. Take one out for a test ride you won't look back!
