2240 miles, Service oil light on?

It is reading to service the oil just beside the speedometer. The break in service was done (or so the previous owner tells me)

Should I just change oil and when I do so is there a way to reset this service notice?

Thanks in advance

That's kinda of odd. If the 1st service was done then the dealer should of cleared the service light at 600-650 miles. Was the light off prior to (2240 miles)? Check the level of the oil. I would change the oil yourself w/new oil filter and then take to a dealer to reset the oil light if it still stays on. Here is a link for DIY oil change https://youtu.be/j5TSGxRo0Mo

Best Regards,
Chris

I've checked the oil level and it was fine. It is dark though. The bike came from California and I'm wondering if the owners did get the 600 mile service done at all. Is there a way at all for me to reset light myself?

"is there a way at all for me to reset light"? Nope. FYI just because the service intervals are 7500mi doesn't mean you shouldn't change the oil at least once a year. You might want to contact a Ducati dealer or Ducati of North America and give them the VIN and see if there is any history of 1st service.

Best Regards,
Chris
