Those over the counter rim cleaners are still aggressive if you do go with that make sure you dilute them too.

My dealer told me that the red rims are powder coated ...that's why the price for the arctic white Duc is with $300 more than the ducati red one ...I don't know if powder coating is better/stronger as finish ?

I used lighter fluid to get the geese off my rear rim and also from under the seat. No problems.

Another vote for simple green, even the pre-dilutted stuff as opposed to the concentrate worked like a charm.
