Help with R&G Aero Frame Sliders Install

Hello!

I need some help fitting the bikes left side Frame slider from R&G. The instructions say I need to remove the shock absorber and then mount the bracket behind it. My question is how do I do this? I know the swing arm will drop once the shock is off. Do I support the bike from the tail or can I do it from a regular rear stand?

Also when I rear install the shock do I have to re spring the tension ?

I’ll post some pictures of the instructions

Thanks !

Garage
When I remove my rear shock I take off the rear mud guard put a couple of bolts where the rear pegs go into the frame and sit a small car jack on top of the wheel and jack it up to release some tension off the shock, for me this works well because you can dial in the jack with little bits of tension.

The other way Ive done it is with a strap onto the garage rafters and onto the subframe (take the seat off) others use car stands under the pegs if they're fixed style, you can use your imagination for various methods.

When you re install the shock no adjustments will be needed.

899 project - rapidbike evo/shift assist - M4 calipers/330 rotors - hel brake lines/abs deleted - oz racing - 1299 headers/termi ti cans - flat link/spring - dp rearsets - 1299 slipper/mag covers - 1299 stator/flywheel - ti bolts a plenty.
