My Panigale has a buddy now

Got a 2016 Harley Davison Sportster 48 to play around on.

I'm going for classic lines with some splashes of throw back to the 40's. I've owned this bike less than a month and she's already taking shape! I rarely ride my Ducati anymore!

MOD LIST (in order of installation):
1. White Wall Dunlops
2. Vance & Hines Short Shots
3. Screaming Eagle Tuner
4. Screaming Eagle Intake
5. Smoked front turn signal lens
6. HD Drag Bars
6. Turn Signal relocation kit
7. HD White Vintage Grips
8. HD Chrome pop up gas cap
9. Shell casing tire valve caps
10. Custom Seat Bolt
11. Passenger pegs

That's it for now. I'll update this thread as she morphs and transforms. Just figured I would share with like minded riders!

Shot with my Sony A7rii with Sony 90mm G Master OSS lens.

YOU?!? HAHAHA I NEVER thought I would own a Harley. I was looking for something fun to chill on and didn't want another Monster as I already had one. I had always liked the looks of the 48's as they are a riders bike. No radio, no bags, no crap. Just you and the road. I found that the Harley dealers usually knock off a good amount for leftovers (unlike Ducati) so I went for it. Brand new with 2 year warranty front to back and 5 years on wheels and tires, got it for $9300+++ and dropped about 2K worth of aftermarket parts on it.

It actually rides nice and the 1200 has a deep cam like rumble to it. I get just as much compliments on it as I do on the DUC. Which is strange because Harley's are EVERYWHERE in Florida. I think its the white wall tires that grab the eye.

I think it was the new wheels for 2016 that pushed me over the edge. No more wire spoke wheels, which while classic, were not me. I actually watched the show "Harley and the Davidson's" on Amazon Prime after I bought it. It's a 6 hour show broken down into 3 2hr episodes and it acts out the start of the company. I must say, I was torn. I was thrilled to own a piece of the passion that started the company but ashamed on what Harley stands for TODAY. Fat old bikers who don't know crap about the history of the company and what it SHOULD stand for today. I HIGHLY recommend you watch the show. It was great!

If anyone gives a crap I'll just use this thread to update as I modify the bike. I find the true motor heads love all brands and enjoy anything with a two wheels and a motor. Later!

Nice lookin sporty! So i guess its just you and me that are the only people on the planet with ducatis and harleys in the same garge! Ive always wanted one of these but from what some friends have said, they said id be too big for a bike like this. Im not a super huge guy either 6'0 210. So because of that i got a 13 streetglide all black. Its a beast of a bike and took some to get used to, since its pretty much the exact opposite of the duc but after a few days i was flinging the big girl around. Congrats on the pick up!

Congrats on the purchase. I am not a big fan of riding upright and traded my Monster for the RR, however I know someone with an R1 that also owns a Harley. There is someone on the 1299 forum in Australia who owns a Panigale and a Harley, so there are at least 3 that I am aware of...

2014 Panigale 899 - Red
Termi Exhaust, Rotobox Wheels, NRC Fender Eliminator, Rizoma Rearsets and Reservoirs, Yoyodyne Slipper Clutch, Ducabike Clear Clutch Cover, CRG CF Levers, DP Fuel Cap, 'R' Seat Cover and Decal Kit
R&G Radiator Guard, Fork and Tank Sliders

2015 BMW S1000RR - Red
HP4 Wheels, Yoshimura R-55 LE Exhaust, Bonamici Rearsets, Competition Werks Fender Eliminator and Integrated Tail Light,
Rizoma LED Indicators, Fuel Cap, and RRC Levers, R&G Sliders and Rear Spools

I did consider getting a Harley again when i could afford/justify 4 bikes in the garage, but then Triumph released the new Bobber. Now THERE'S a gorgeous bike and so much better than a Harley in every way.

That's a nice looking Harley. I toyed around with getting one before I bought the 899. The one I wanted was a little over $15k and I couldn't pull the trigger. The looks, technology and performance of the 899 won.

I agree about Harley and the Davidsons. That was a great series.
