I really debate getting rid of the abs too. I kind of like knowing it is there as a safety measure though.

 

I was thinking the same until that rain day at Sonoma—I'm keeping mine for my modified Sport mode for the wet and just turning off ABS for Face mode.

My 2cents... Get the cylinder head covers removed along with the exhaust heat shield and wrap it or fit a FullSix carbon fibre shield instead, by that you would save a little bit of weight and would improve the looks too : ) Not to mention its a simple, easy and cheap mod to do.

 

Thanks CJZ, I ordered the CF heat shield together with the CF fairings which are in transit to me now and I had agreed with ProTwin on the weekend that we would remove the engine covers when we fit the new fairings.... great minds....

have you started dieting too? most people forget to lose body fat. on a bicycle 1 lb of weight equals 1 min on a 1km climb. pretty easy to drop 10-15 lbs of body weight. I'm sure that would make a big difference on track as well.

 

So far I've lost 9kg and I have plans to lose another 9kg which will get me down to 86kg.

 

The Carbon fairings are taking forever to arrive!!

Should hopefully receive them within the next 7-10 days... I will load a heap of photos once they've been fitted.

The quality of the carbon is excellent, I have decided against painting it and will apply some (minimal) vinyl decals as highlights

Your Brembo GP4-RX calipers look stunning mate. Have you had a chance to test them out? If my bike saw your bike, I'd never hear the end of how she wants the shiny GP4s as well
